About

Writing, performing and leading worship for the past 15 years, Josh Canady is no stranger to the stage. He has performed with artists ranging from Nicole Nordeman, Jennifer Knapp (2002), Rich Mullin’s Ragamuffin Band and Tyler Burkum (Audio Adrenaline, Leagues) to name a few. Although Josh has had the opportunity to play in many states for thousands of people he finds a comfort in both large and smaller concert settings. In his own words, “My heart and purpose in all of this is that those who hear me would draw closer to God and that my concert may be a time of reflection and hope for everyone in the room.”

Stylistically, Josh performs a wide variety of acoustic guitar and piano driven songs. “I like to keep people guessing and do not like to be pinned down to one sound. I am just a fan of many genres of music so I am naturally influenced by a wide variety of sounds when I write my own songs”. Regardless of the sound, Josh has one desire when it comes to the message of his music. “I strive to have every song, whether sad or happy, whether talking about the joys or sorrows of life, ultimately point to the hope that is found in Christ. If that is missed in the songs then I have failed.”

Throughout 2013 Josh has been working on 2 albums that will be releasing in 2014. “These releases are extra special to me. It is the first time I have ever been able to fully create the song as I have heard it in my head, as they were originally intended.” With the anticipation of these releases, Josh is currently planning to hit the road on his first full tour this Spring and Fall. “I feel like these songs speak of important things and can really impact people in all walks of life. I have never before had such a strong desire to get out there and let my songs be heard. I feel like God has led me to these songs and is now leading me to share them with those who will hear.”
